Class Description:

Cultivate your creativity in this mixed media art journaling class. It does not require any artistic experience. You will be guided step-by-step to create unique pages in your Art Journal using unique, exciting techniques and materials. We will be pulling our inspiration from some of our favorite Artists. Art Journaling is fun and relaxing, accessible to people who have never been artistic and can also allow those serious creators a new place to combine new skills and supplies they’ve acquired over the years.

Supply List: 

Art Journal or a sheet of watercolor paper 

(Jacalyn recommends using Strathmore® 500 Series Mixed Media Softcover Art Journal or Canson XL Series Mix Media Pad Wire Bound)

Matte Medium
Paint Brushes (inexpensive brushes, preferably synthetic or taklon)

All other supplies provided by teacher

About the Instructor:

Jacalyn Gmoch is an award-winning artist living in South Florida. While earning her BFA in Painting at Florida Atlantic University, she won the Best Portfolio Award from the Visual Arts Department. She is the lead instructor at the Boca Raton Museum Art School for Collage, Mixed Media, and Abstract Painting. She teaches numerous classes and workshops in various formats and has exhibited her art throughout South Florida. Jacalyn believes art is for everyone and is admired for the energetic enthusiasm she brings to her craft, inspiring students of all ages. She hopes and firmly believes that her art can provide enrichment and connection for both the individual and the community.
