A CREATIVE MONOPRINTING EXPERIENCE

Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop exploring color, texture, layering, and monoprinting techniques using gel plates. You’ll create a collection of unique painted papers that can be used in collage, added to acrylic or watercolor works, or even framed as standalone monoprints.

Join us for one or both classes! Each session offers new opportunities to explore techniques, experiment with different materials, and expand your creative toolkit.

What to Expect:

Using simple, approachable methods with acrylic paint or watercolor on copy paper, you’ll build layers of color, pattern, and texture. We’ll work with stencils, stamps, masks, and a variety of mark-making tools—both directly on the paper and on the gel plate.

Participants Will:

  • Create around 20 coordinating painted papers

  • Experiment with stenciling, stamping, and mark-making

  • Explore basic color theory, value ranges, and layering techniques

  • Leave with papers suitable for collage, mixed media, or display

What to Bring (Optional):

  • Acrylic paints

  • Watercolors

  • Scissors

  • Ruler

  • Gel plate and brayer (roller) if you have them

Shared Supplies Provided:

  • 4 gel plates and rollers (for sharing)

  • Wet palettes

  • Copy paper

  • Paints for group use

  • Stencils, masks, and various texture tools

This workshop is designed for all skill levels and encourages playful experimentation. Come ready to get messy and make some magic!
