Family History Journaling
October 22 & 29, 2022
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
2-Day Workshop $350
This journaling class will explore the family tree and family history in short journal paragraphs and accompanying artwork.
You’ve dreamed of writing a family history book for years. You’ve even started looking through old letters and photos. But after all that detective work, the idea of writing a memoir or novel is daunting and all those old photos are still sitting in a box. What do you do with all those materials you’ve gathered?
Tell your family’s story in the pages of a journal that blends collections of letters, photographs, as well as paragraph-long observations and memories.
The “heritage scrapbook,” style of family history includes names and dates, but it keeps things interesting with the addition of photos, sketches, letters, journal entries, newspaper clippings, locks of hair and anything else you can think of.
Create a one-of-a kind, paper-crafted scrapbook using old photos you found in your research instead of letting them sit in a box.
