This workshop shows you how to use the underlying principles of art to create compelling landscapes. The workshop is about learning how to think and see like an artist, but you will grasp so much more.
Nature is often chaotic and overwhelming with its information. Learning how to simplify a scene to its bare bones by using the principles of good art is a key component to creating better landscape paintings. By utilizing a simple value plan and a limited color palette you will learn how size, shape, value, and color work together to create a harmonious piece. You will learn how to use the information of a scene to make decisions based on what you want to say, yet not be limited by it.
My workshop is immersive, engaging, and fun. It is structured to break down the elements into simple, digestible chunks of information so you can quickly grasp ideas and start putting them to use in your paintings. You will be challenged, though you will also walk away with a deeper understanding of what makes a quality painting and what to work on to get to the next level of your art.
