The New Studio for the Visual Arts is proud to host Dulze Pastries’ Easter Cookie decorating class with Jessica Nava!

Get ready to put your creativity to the test with this hands-on class, where you'll learn how to decorate Easter-themed cookies using royal icing. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced baker, this class is the perfect opportunity to improve your skills and create beautiful, professional-looking cookies that are sure to impress.

 

Jessica will guide you through the process of making the perfect royal icing and show you how to use different decorating techniques such as outlining, flooding, and piping to achieve various designs. You'll learn how to make intricate patterns, delicate details, and how to use various icing colors to create a unique and personalized set of cookies.

 

During this class, you'll be provided with all the necessary tools and equipment, including pre-baked cookies, piping bags, and an assortment of colorful icing. Jessica will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and offer tips and advice throughout the class.

 

At the end of the class, you'll leave with a set of 3 beautifully decorated Easter cookies, along with the knowledge and confidence to recreate these designs at home. These cookies will make the perfect gift for family and friends, or a delightful addition to your Easter celebrations.

About the Instructor:

Hi, my name is Jessica Nava, and I am the owner of Dulze Pastries bakery. I’ve always had a passion for cooking, but throughout the years I discovered the art of baking. It all started when I started making these delicious Peruvian cookies, also known Alfajores. I would make them for my family and friends and every time I would make them, they would ask me to sell them some so they could share with their loved ones. Since then, I’ve taken classes to learn more about cooking decorating and baking. Something that started as a hobby has developed into a business that I love. I hope to share my passion of baking with those that are eager to learn.
