Workshop Description:

Join David Durbak on this four-hour intensive workshop focused on the art and craft of digital printmaking. Students will be using the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 printer; however, the skillsets will transfer to any photo quality printer.

This workshop is designed to minimize the complexity and frustration of printing and is recommended whether you are just getting started or want to take your printing skills further. Printing your own work is a rich and rewarding experience that adds to your creative potential.

Successfully passing this class is essential for those who wish to be certified to use the studio printer.

Learn how to create an expressive print that conveys your vision as a photographer and visual artist.

Limited to just four in studio students for maximum one-to-one attention, the first half of the workshop will focus on important concepts and techniques for the modern printmaker. After a short break, the second half of the workshop will consist of students displaying these new-found skills by printing two of their own image files.

Students will work on making their images come to life, from processing to final print, and transform their digital files into fine-art quality prints.

Students Should Bring:

  • a laptop computer pre-loaded with Adobe Bridge and either Adobe Lightroom or Adobe Photoshop

  • a removable hard drive or thumb drive

  • two of their own files, one black and white, one in color, that they wish to print

$20 Cash Fee for the supplied Fine Art Digital Print Paper.
